Welcome to Retina Center of New Jersey, LLC (RCNJ). The Retina Center of New Jersey was founded in 2010 by Dr. Patrick M. Higgins in Bloomfield, NJ, specializing in diseases/surgery of the retina, vitreous and macula. We are a leader in comprehensive vitreo-retinal eye care. What was originally established as a one physician, one location practice has since grown significantly with RCNJ currently having four offices located in: Bloomfield, Englewood, North Bergen and Ramsey, New Jersey. Dr. Kurt T. Jackson (2013) and Dr. Lauren A. Kallina (2014) have since joined the Retina Center of New Jersey and they are now part of the RCNJ family as well.

We are dedicated and passionate about providing quality care to all of our patients. We are one of the largest retina/ophthalmology clinical research centers in the state of New Jersey. Our physicians pride themselves with participating in over 50 clinical trials during the past 15 years, which included working on clinical trials for many of the pharmaceuticals that are currently being used as standard of care in the retina/ophthalmology field today.
